(The soldiers of the 7th start to look uncomfortable, remembering themselves. marshalls go after the deserters and have them thrown in temporary cells." Roxanne Roxanne is left looking slightly shattered.) Richard and Fulgrim are revealed, throwing venomous glares at each other before returning to the head of their respective units. The soldiers, terrified by this show of overwhelming force, get back into line. (The ringleader and his eleven followers flee as the riot is finally quelled. (Sounds of support from the eleven riled up 8th soldiers.)Įdited 6th Oct '10 11:34:25 AM by GameChainsaw "Screw this, you saw that army! We're heading straight into a Necrosian trap! Lets kill this corpse-whore and her supporters, get our horses and get our business out of this shithole before everything here goes to hell!" Ringleader Richard and Fulgrim must be further into the chaos they are nowhere to be seen. It appears certain that there will be bloodshed if the party doesn't do something sharpish. A few men of the 7th try to get in the way, but outnumbered as they are they are forced to get out of the way or be killed where they stand. Tension starts to boil over again however, and a few bold members of the 8th spot the Diplomatiker, as the tensions in the unit finally break over to potential violence as a ringleader draws his sword and advances on the party members, heading straight for the Diplomatiker, six men on either flank of him. ![]() The whistle seems to have done more to annoy the soldiers further than catch their attention but the idea that the Black Bludgeon is present and in a rather hostile mood cows many soldiers and even sends a few scattering to the far ends of the camp. The partys initial response gets a mixed result. The term "Great Man" is disturbingly interchangeable with "mass murderer" in history books. "GET BACK! I'LL HAVE YOU ALL PILLORIED FOR INSUBORDINATION! MARSHALLS, GET THE MARSHALLS! RICHARD, FULGRIM! GET YOUR MEN BACK INTO LINE! STOP THIS NOW! FULGRIM." RoxanneĮdited 6th Oct '10 3:30:44 AM by GameChainsaw Roxanne, meanwhile, is desperately shouting to try to keep order.) Presumably the source of the disturbance is within the circle. (It is clear from other arguments, ones that aren't just partisan shouting at any rate, that there is a similar theme running through them. "So you're cowards as well as traitors! We should purge you all where you stand!" 7th Soldier "That "dragonslayer" you speak of should be dead! We don't know how all natural laws were reversed just to favour some Troperian knight, but it isn't normal, and neither is that bloody diplomat! The men of the 8th will not blindly follow an abomination into-" 8th Soldier "How dare you insult a dragonslayer like that! In defence of that lying snake! It was his sacrifice which saved the whole of the borderlands from burning!" 7th Soldier He's a deserter anyway, everyone knows that. ![]() For a merchant, you're awfully naive, defending the honour of a dead man. "Lying dogs! How much coin did it take to buy you?" 7th Soldier The party can make out the argument that is raging between two opposing soldiers closest to the group. Soldiers from other units cluster round, some trying to restrain particularly enraged soldiers, others monitoring things warily, some with their swords drawn ready to hack anyone who draws iron to pieces. Roxanne is trying to restore order, but its clear the young colonel has, for the first time in her career, lost temporary control of her forces. ![]() The 7th is clearly banded on the left, hurling abuse at the 8th, who hurl it right back. (Outside the tent, a circle of soldiers are clustered around something happening in the centre.
